![]() The motherboard headers basically only support one way communication, so Mystic Light will never recognize what, if anything you plugged into those headers they'll just output a signal to something (or nothing). 4 Pin wants 12 volts and varying levels of red, green, and blue current, 3 pin wants 5 volts, ground, and data. The voltages and signalling are in no way compatible. So I'm not familiar with this particular model, but I looked it up and it appears that rather than having an industry standard 3 or 4 pin header, the actual fan plugs into the included RGB controller, with can in turn be controlled with a 4 pin headers, soĪttempting to plug it into a the 3 pin JRainbow header will never work, you need one of the four pin JRGB connectors. Has anyone experienced this or have an idea of what the problem can be? thanks in advanceĮDIT: just want to throw in here that the hyper 212 fan supports Mystic Light ![]() ![]() I can't get it to pop up on mystic light, ive contacted MSI support and they said nothing is wrong, ive contacted coolermaster support and theyre claiming its a problem with MSI. When that didnt work i thought that specific port may not give out enough voltage because it is a 3 pin, so i bought an extension cable and re routed to the JRGB1 port which is a 4 pin. I originally had the fan's RGB wire plugged into the JRAINBOW2 port (3 pin) because the wire perfectly reached that port. This isnt the end of the world since the fan is working properly, but it would be nice to be able to use the fan with all of its options, and honestly at this point im just really trying to figure out what the issue is. This is my first PC build so any help would really be appreciated! I have an MSI B550 gaming pro motherboad, and the problem I am having is that my CPU cooler (coolermaster hyper 212 rgb) is not showing on my mystic light app so that I can control the RGB on it.
